Buxton Memory Pocket 1000 Mattress - Super King (6')
The Buxton Collection consists of a pocket sprung unit covered in generous layers of fillings to include 50mm of reflex foam and a 25mm layer of memory foam, and finished with a quality multi quilted cool max cloth.
Available pocket spring units are 1000, 1500 and 2000.
Pocket Spring Unit
Pocket Spring units consist of individual small springs each housed in separate fabric pockets. The main benefit of pocket spring units is that they work independently of each other to respond to individual body weight. In addition the independence of the spring units facilitates independent movement on the mattress - where one person tosses and turns the other should not be disturbed.
The lower spring counts will have a larger diameter, whereas the higher spring counts will be of more benefit to a heavier weighted person, as their weight will be equalized over a greater number of springs.
Models available in the Buxton Range are 1000, 1500 and 2000 pocket spring units, the spring count indicating the number of springs in a 5' mattress, a 3' will have proportionately less, whereas a 6' proportionally more.
Memory Foam
Originally developed by NASA in the 1960's to cushion and protect astronauts against the severe gravitational friction they experience, and further developed for use as a comfort and protection aid for use in hospitals, memory foam has since became a very popular choice for use in the bedding industry.
The main reasons for this include its ability to slowley adjust to your body's weight and temperature, thereby providing outstanding levels of comfort, while also providing complete and luxurious support to the body, especially the back, hips and knees.
The ability of memory foam to adjust to any body anomalies or spinal irregularities make it a favorite among those who suffer from arthritis or any other form of bone irregularities.
The Buxton Range also benefits from the additional support provided by a generous 50mm layer of reflex foam.
